Ironman Outdoor Curling Bonspiel Surpasses It’s Own Size

Double The Curling Sheets For Its 2015 Event For Heart & Stroke

(WINNIPEG, MANITOBA) January 13, 2015 ? The annual fundraiser for Heart & Stroke makes a triumphant return in 2015 with its 14th event at The Forks, February 6 to 8, 2015. The Ironman Outdoor Curling Bonspiel, presented by Frontier Toyota, will be adding another ?rink? on the Assiniboine River for the first time since 2002.

Since its debut, the Ironman Outdoor Curling Bonspiel has continuously exceeded its own expectations. ?The response has been phenomenal,? says Michael Thompson, Ironman Bonspiel Director. ?After last year?s response, we felt it was time to physically grow our curling rinks to accommodate the attendance.?

The committee has set the standard on being the biggest outdoor curling event in Canada each year. ?Almost 40 teams have already registered for the event,? confirms Eric Dawson, Ironman Bonspiel Founder and President. ?We sold out last year?s event two weeks before, Winnipeggers and Manitobans will need to act quickly.?

Early Bird registration is now closed, but prices remain the same at $160 per team until one week prior to the event. The Ironman Outdoor Curling Bonspiel will accept 64 teams for their 2015 but urge the public to register now because selling out is possible, and probable from the last few years trends.

Registration to the Ironman Outdoor Curling Bonspiel can be done online at ironmancurling.com or by calling 204-831-8816.
