Ironman Curling Portion Canceled: 2021
As of January 24, we have made the incredibly difficult decision to cancel the curling portion of the 2021 Ironman Outdoor Curling Bonspiel. With the Province of Manitoba extending the current Code Red restrictions until February 12, time did not permit us to continue planning; however, this will NOT deter us from continuing to raise funds for our two charities, Heart and Stroke Foundation and Hope worldwide Canada. After all, this bonspiel was founded as a charitable event, and our honoree, Kevin Wiebe would want us to continue our fundraising efforts despite our chagrin.
Part of our fundraising recognition is the top 3 fundraising teams (or individuals) for charity will be awarded a Silver Corn Brooms: a unique curling broom that will be the envy of every Canadian curler. If there are more than 3 teams raise over $1,000, all teams over $1000 will receive a Silver Corn Broom.
Fundraising will continue until the end of February 14, Valentine’s Day. Help us reach our goal of raising $20,000 and making a difference in our community.
We encourage everyone to live a healthy, active lifestyle with safe outdoor activity.

Bodegoes Restaurant has stepped up and is sponsoring the costs associated with electronic service fees. And Ironman Curling will not take any operating costs from registrations this year. This was done to help raise more money for the charities.
Therefore the choice is your, check with your team…
- if you wish to donated the entire registration amount and receive a tax receipt for the full amount from the charity via email
- Take a partial refund – Marc can refund the amount you wish and the other portion will go to the charity of your choice
- Take a full refund of your registration
