Having discovered this wonderful event through my work with the Heart & Stroke advisory board I was thrilled to be asked to be this year’s honouree. As a cardiac arrest survivor I know firsthand how important the work of H&S is. Being a board member I have learned how much more work there is still to do from funding research, education in schools and workplaces, support for survivors and their loved ones to getting AED machines installed everywhere and teaching the public how to use them.
